Man attacked and killed by beaver

In a bizarre incident, a man attempting to photograph a beaver ended up being killed by the creature. The attack took place in Belarus when three men on a fishing trip at Lake Shestakov stopped when they spotted the animal at the side of the road. Based on various reports, one of the men either got out to photograph the beaver or went to sit next to it to get his photograph taken. Not too pleased with what was happening, the beaver allegedly sunk its teeth in to the man's thigh, severing a main artery.

 Despite his friends' best efforts he ended up bleeding to death at the side of the road. While beavers generally don't pose much of a threat to humans, there have been incidents in which people have been attacked or chased by one. In December, a rabid beaver was reported to have chased two children in Virginia while that same week an 83-year-old woman was attacked by one at Lake Barcroft. A man was attacked and killed by a beaver in Belarus. Sky News reported the man was on a fishing trip with two friends at Lake Shestakov when they spotted the animal on the side of the road.
