Ferrets on steroids being sold as poodles

A bazaar in Argentina has been caught selling 'dogs' that turned out to be not quite as expected. According to a recent report, a man from Catamarca purchased two toy poodle dogs at a discounted price and took them home, only to discover following a visit to the vets that the dogs were actually a species of rodent that had been pumped up on steroids. The animals had even been specially groomed to make their coats resemble the appearance of a poodle.
Previously thought to be an urban myth, the sale of expensive dogs in less-than-reputable marketplaces has been on the rise with sales of animals worth $1000 for bargain prices of $75 or less being facilitated by the use of drugged rats and ferrets made up to look like dogs. Gullible bargain hunters at Argentina's largest bazaar are forking out hundreds of dollars for what they think are gorgeous toy poodles, only to discover that their cute pooch is in fact a ferret pumped up on steroids.
